Subject: New kerb stones

Hello Pp,
They have out new kerb stones across the dirt track entrance down to the beach so it looks like they are preparing to lay new paving.

Hopefully they will put another layer all over the top to finish it off nicely (can but hope!). They've removed some of the plants that were along the fence which is a pity but they have left the larger bushes (David's garden) and have put a nice coping stone border round them.

I was really pleased to see that they had bordered off the bush as last year it looked like they were going to remove everything at one point.

Hello Pp,
It be good to see the footpaths finish after 14 years. we had taken photos of people (children) using the road as a footpath to gain access to the sports centre because the footpath was in no fit state. and filled in an official complain forms attached to the photos to the town hall in Cartagena.
We have done this for the last 4 years. So hopefully!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing much had changed, then this morning they've taped off all the parking along Himilce and down past the medical centre and a digger is working up by the bins, so it looks like they've taken over ALL that waste ground.
3 new pics on the gallery, should have some more interesting ones by end of play today

It will be chaos later as the sports centre users arrive and find nowhere to park.

Subject: Heating

Hi All
I'm hoping to visit Playa Honda towards the end of the year. Usually don't need heating and only need the 'heat' on the aircon or a small fan heater when we visit in Oct.

This may not be enough in Dec and was wondering what you thought the best and most economical heat source would be?

Well, just love reading the Cartagena Ayuntamiento news notices on their website - nice to see Mayor Ana Belén Castejón has such an incredible selection of outfits (not from Primark) for all her photo opportunities - many many many photo opportunities - she must have a fantastic salary, because we all know the bad old days have long gone

Subject: Americans nuked Cartegena

Random fact of the day:

In 1966 the Americans had a bomber crash in Spain, which in the process dropped four H-bombs around Palomares, just west of Cartagena.

One landed safely and was recovered and one fell in the sea. The other two detonated, but safety mechanisms limited it to the high explosives and not nuclear. There still had to be a huge clean up operation and the Americans had to take the contaminated soil back home.
